SeoninoBot

SeoninoBot is the crawler behind Seonino's free AI-readiness check. It visits a website only when someone types that address into Seonino.

How it identifies itself

Every request carries this User-Agent, which points to this page:

SeoninoBot/1.0 (+https://seonino.com/bot)

What it fetches

For one Scan it reads a handful of public files and pages:

  • the homepage
  • robots.txt
  • llms.txt
  • whether a sitemap exists
  • up to a few contact and about pages linked from the homepage

To see what AI crawlers would be shown, it also requests the homepage once with the User-Agent of some AI bots. It does this for homepage probes only, never for other pages.

Limits

  • At most 20 requests per Scan.
  • At most 30 seconds per Scan.
  • At most 10 seconds per request.
  • At most 2 requests at the same time to one host.
  • It is only ever started by a person entering a URL. It never crawls on its own, never follows links across the web and never revisits a site by itself.

Why it doesn't obey robots.txt

SeoninoBot acts on behalf of a person who asked to check one specific site, like a browser would, and its footprint is tiny: a few requests, once.

robots.txt is also what we are checking. A Scan reports whether your robots.txt blocks AI crawlers, so we read it as data and fetch the pages anyway to compare what AI crawlers would see.

Personal data on public pages

Public pages can show details of individuals, for example the name, phone number or email address of a sole trader or a contact person. A Report may repeat such details when they appear on the scanned page.

We collect them from public pages without contacting the person. Informing everyone individually would take a disproportionate effort, so this page is our notice under Article 14 of the GDPR, relying on Article 14(5)(b). We use the data only to produce the Report that someone asked for.

Basis and retention: we process these details on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): the data is already public and the Report serves the business or site owner. The raw pages we fetched are deleted after 90 days. Facts in a Report are kept as long as the Report exists and are erased if the Report is removed on request.

You can ask us to remove a Report or any personal data in it, and you can object to its processing, at any time. We will act on it promptly. See the full Privacy policy.
